Over 150 Organizations Write to President Biden to Oppose Extremist Border Policies and Call on President to Uphold Asylum

More than 150 international, community, legal, human rights, and faith-based organizations sent a letter today to President Biden responding to reports that the Biden administration is considering using executive power to undermine access to asylum. The organizations wrote of their concern “[m]any of the changes you are reportedly contemplating would not only stain your legacy; they would undo your own efforts to adhere to U.S. and international asylum law, return refugees to harm, and create widespread chaos and suffering at the border.”
